A Coach2 is what we call a formally trained internal Catalytic Coaching expert. Those who receive this designation must go through in-depth training on the process that includes interactive role playing exercises and best practices. This enables them to support and advise your managers that might otherwise struggle in their roles as Coaches.

Mastery Program graduates are prepared to answer questions from managers trying to function as Coaches. They’re trained to aid in form completion, and how to use the process to energize and engage staff members. They’re also taught how to successfully and safely navigate the delivery of job threatening messages.

Another important deliverable of the Mastery Program is increased familiarity with the use of the Catalytic Coaching Online software powered by Energage. This software securely houses the sheets, guides the Coaching process, includes training and resources, and has reporting features. Program graduates can be appointed as Administrators for the software, allowing them to further support the process for your organization.

Adding to the list of Mastery Program graduates in your organization will strengthen your process and increase the number of positive Coaching experiences that occur with your employees.

Absolutely! It’s actually much easier to launch (or relaunch) the Catalytic Coaching process when you have the support of an already trained Coach2. They have invaluable insight into training and implementation that will make roll out much smoother. They’ve also already worked closely with Gary and his team, so they’ll be familiar with the trainers and both Energage and Catalytic Coaching support staff.

The majority of Coach2s come from the Human Resource department, but they aren’t the only ones. Line managers and supervisors, and promising up-and-comers are often chosen for this special training. Ideal candidates have natural ability for coaching and an interest in helping others grow.

In each Mastery Program we are delighted to attract a few business owners and C-Suite executives and seeking Coach2 certification as a way to improve the example they set to others. While it’s clearly beneficial for an organization to put their executives through an advanced coaching curriculum, we discourage top executives (Presidents, CEOs, COOs and such) from truly functioning as Coach2s when they return. Their lofty titles make them scary to those they might try to assist. They use what they learn in the Mastery program by setting a superior example for the senior level managers they coach.

Some Mastery program attendees primarily attend to learn how to support others as Program Administrators. They gain a healthy respect for the Coach2 function in the program and learn when to solicit either internal or external Coach2 assistance when it comes to their attention that it is needed.

The number of Coach2s that would benefit your organization varies by the size of the company and how spread out you are. For example, if you have four different locations then it will likely be beneficial to have at least one Coach2 per location to support the Coaches at each site. Larger companies should have more Coach2s to ensure they can have plenty of time to support the Coaches while balancing their other work duties.

There is no secret formula for determining how many Coach2s a company needs, but a good rule of thumb would be at least one Coach2 per 20 Coaches. We’re happy to discuss a more tailored suggestion that fits your unique needs.

You don’t have to register everyone who could or should be a Coach2 for the same program at the same time. If your company will need several Coach2s, it may be easiest to enroll 2-4 at a time. On the flip side, some larger organizations have booked a private program for more than a dozen coaches as an intact class.

Organizations registering more than one attendee for the same program session enjoy a tuition discount on each enrollee after the first. There are also early enrollment discounts available for a limited time on most classes.

While attendees are expected to make every effort to fully attend each session, we understand that life happens. Each session is recorded and will be available in the Learning Portal by the end of the next business day. These recordings can be used to catch up if a class is missed. They can also be used to review weekly sessions.

If an attendee is struggling with any lessons or assignments, Gary and his team are easily accessible and ready to quickly provide support. We are available before and after each weekly session as well as by appointment in between.
